Doors, The Review

Doors, The came out in 1991 and was directed by the ever-evasive Oliver Stone. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "Drug Addiction" genre.

During the time we had our polls open, 316 vile viewers just like you weighed in on Doors, The. 200 of 'em thought it was great! 116 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.

This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.

Dave's Review

I can't say it was particularly fun to watch, but I think captured the basic elements of the Jim Morrison story pretty well.

Dave broke it down like so: Technology: 7 Action: 3 Nudity: 5 Coolness: 6 Badguys: 5 Gore: 1 Shock: 4 Dialog: 7 Post-Nuke?: N Music: 8 Plot: 7 Length: Short Overall: 6

Jim's Review

I specifically admire this movie's camera work. The plot is the typical band-leader-goes-down-hill-due-to-drugs one. Also, the second best thing about the movie are the shots of the New Mexico desert.

Jim broke it down like so: Technology: 7 Action: 3 Nudity: 4 Coolness: 6 Badguys: 4 Gore: 1 Shock: 4 Dialog: 8 Post-Nuke?: N Music: 8 Plot: 7 Length: Long Overall: 7
