Demon Seed Review

Demon Seed came out in 1977 and was directed by the ever-engorged Donald Cammell. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "SF/Horror" genre.

During the time we had our polls open, 1 shifty viewers just like you weighed in on Demon Seed. 1 of 'em thought it was great! 0 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.

This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.

Dave's Review

I think the computer itself was a heck of a lot cooler than the demon-baby it spawned. They should just have centered the movie around the hardware. Now that's something I'd like to watch!

Dave broke it down like so: Technology: 5 Action: 6 Nudity: 5 Coolness: 5 Badguys: 6 Gore: 2 Shock: 4 Dialog: 6 Post-Nuke?: N Music: 5 Plot: 6 Length: Fine Overall: 5

Jim's Review

It was a generic "evil super-intelligent computer that wished to spawn itself" movie. While it was done better than many, there is really not much to say about it.

Jim broke it down like so: Technology: 7 Action: 5 Nudity: 3 Coolness: 5 Badguys: 5 Gore: 2 Shock: 4 Dialog: 6 Post-Nuke?: N Music: 5 Plot: 6 Length: Short Overall: 6
