An American Werewolf In London came out in 1981 and was directed by the ever-vile John Landis. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "Horror/Comedy" genre.

During the time we had our polls open, 203 repulsive viewers just like you weighed in on An American Werewolf In London. 133 of 'em thought it was great! 70 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.

This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.

Dave's Review

What caught our attention right away was the excellent dialog between the two main characters. It was very believable and also added a nice touch of humor here and there. I thought the best part of the movie was definately going to be the beginning (which was great) but the movie was really good all the way through. I have to admit, it did end a bit abruptly, but I really can't imagine it ending any other way. Well done!

Jim's Review

I would have to say the best thing about this movie was the characters, they were all a little weird, so that they did not quite seem to be just formula characters who are there just for the sake of the Plot. But this is not to say the rest of the movie wasn't good as well. The Werewolf scenes were all impressive. The entire movie was rather good. It is well worth watching.
