Death Ship Review
Death Ship came out in 1980 and was directed
by the ever-delightful Alan Rakoff. We have used science (and possibly the box cover)
to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "Aquatic Beast Horror" genre.
During the time we had our polls open, 212 loathsome viewers just like
you weighed in on Death Ship. 128 of 'em thought it was great!
84 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.
This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001.
Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list
to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.
Dave's Review
A good title and box art makes not a good movie. I swear on my treasure chest that this is the last nautical horror movie I see. A good one has never been made, and yet we keep coming back and renting more of them! I feel like a lab rat that keeps pressing the bar that sends a jolt of electrical current into my body. Zap! I can smell my own burning fur.

Jim's Review
Well I will never be able to explain why we watched a movie called Death Ship, but it just seemed like the right thing to do at the time. This movie was so lame I can never put it into words, and I have to stress that it was not fun lame, most of the movie was just looking at an empty boat, it was boring/not funny lame. There were parts that really demonstrated the incompetence behind the creation of this movie, in the beginning when showing the boat, all the scenes close to the boat were in the day, but all the ones far from the boat were at night. This was novel at first, but after 5 minutes of it switching from day and night I just stopped caring about the movie. However, I guess it might be entertaining to see the titanic take on the death ship... any way, besides that single idea nothing good came from this film, avoid it like it carries the plage.
