Dave's Review
Dave's Comments: This series is getting so damn weird... I can't keep any of the characters straight anymore (except Regie, of course). Oh well, at least I got to see the Tall Man when he was inventing the trans-dimensional teleportation device. That was cool, and I hope we get to see more of that storyline in subsequent Phantasms. But I'm worried that this series is just going to get weirder and weirder until the actor that plays the Tall Man dies, and then we'll never know what was going on. For christ's sake, you swine, make the next one! Hurry!
Jim's Review
Jim's Comments: This is a difficult series to take on one part at a time, it has a plot that is only divulged piece by piece. This one explains a little bit about the Tall Mans origins. I sort of liked this one (Not as much as part 2 of course) although this series is difficult to follow, and only Reggie the Ice Cream Man, and the Tall man are played by the same characters, hell, the boy has been played by like 8 different people and there have only been 4 parts. Anyway, the Phantasm series has always been one of my favorite horror series over the years, it is one of the few series which is actually not really a slasher series, and has some real horror aspects to it. So I recommend you see the series, and make sure you watch it in order, otherwise you will never understand anything about it (This is no guarantee it will make sense even if you do see it in order).
