great for hosting stuff

totally works as a desktop, but won’t be anybody’s first choice

I actually am not all that into security. The need to make computers secure is at the heart of a lot of what makes running them bureaucratic and tedious.

Where I want things secure (and maybe even a bit bureaucratic and tedious) is when I’m serving things on the Internet. And to a lesser degree, on the local network too.

I’ve soured on the idea of man pages as documentation. Finding the right man page is a chicken-and-egg problem. By the time you’ve figured out which man page you need to read, you’ve probably already resorted to looking things up on the Internet. Which sucks!
